"Chaco, inspiring & healing spiritual retreat "

A Retreat Director provides individuals with guidance, rituals, and ceremonies along with direction and reflection connecting to each person's spiritual life. A retreat is an aspect of spirituality which emphasizes time away with God or your Higher Power. Most of the retreats are "theme based." i.e., Destination Retreats conducted in the Southwestern United States; Chaco Canyon in New Mexico, a retreat to Copper Canyon in Mexico; and a third retreat is planned for New Mexico traveling on the Jemez Trail.. A returning fall retreat is held annually in the pines of Prescott Arizona. Come join us!

Chaco Culture National Historical Park preserves one of America's most significant cultural and historic areas. Chaco Canyon was a major center of Puebloan culture between AD 850 and 1250. The Chacoan sites are part of the sacred homeland of Pueblo Indian peoples of New Mexico, the Hopi Indians of Arizona, and the Navajo Indians of the Southwest, all of whom continue to respect and honor them. Chaco Culture National Historical Park is a very special place.

The night sky at Chaco Culture National Historical Park has long been recognized as a precious natural resource. By designating the night sky as a natural resource in its General Management Plan of 1993, Chaco has become an inspiration and role model for other national parks, institutions, and communities throughout the United States. Public programs emphasize the practices of the Chacoan people a thousand years ago, as well as modern approaches to viewing the same night sky they viewed - in a remote environment with clear, dark skies, and free from urban light pollution. Evening lectures are given at the visitor center.

"Destination Retreats" are planned 3 times a year at various locations through out the Southwest area. Janet directs and facilitates rituals and healing ceremonies enhancing the experience. Campfires and community dinners are a time for sharing daily experiences.
